This
site brings together some of the history of
the Democratic Osteopathic Council, its Aims, its Concerns, its
Council, who are its Members, and some of your Questions answered.
The
future of Osteopathy is under threat, DOC will help support the
survival of the many varied
and rich philosophies and modes of practice which are its heritage.
The public's access to the healing art of osteopathy has already
been severely curtailed by the way the Osteopaths Act 1993 has been
interpreted and implemented.
We
hope to also make this site a valuable information point for all
osteopaths in the UK.

Despite
the £'millions gathered by the GOsC from practising osteopaths
over the past five years, little has been done to raise the profile
and acceptability of osteopathy as the prime therapy for nusculo-skeletal
problems.
What

What
PR efforts have they made?
What
Government lobbying have they done on your behalf?
Briefly
what have they achieved for the profession?
